The designers and architects at Otte Assemblage chose New York City itself to create décor that includes a twelve foot "Central Park" living wall in the lobby, an artist's rendering of Manhattan's grid and unique collages of some of the most famed neighborhoods like its own location, Midtown West. Located on West 40th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, and steps away from Times Square, Bryant Park, Broadway, the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the Theater District and Madison Square Garden, the 32 story slender skyscraper seems to come to life as the exterior brick forms the flora Altheas, once native to the Dutch Bloomingdale Road, known today as the great Broadway.
If the great island of Manhattan inspired the designers and the architects at Otte Assemblage, then the renowned hospitality legends of New York drive the Distrikt Hotel's commitment to guest service. Experienced and well trained staff strives to surpass guests’ anticipations with professional and personalized assistance. Doormen and bellmen are poised to greet and escort, front desk associates offer welcoming smiles, efficient check in and check outs, and a full array of concierge services including entertainment recommendations, reservations, or simple directions to business or leisure destinations. Guest room attendants are eager to make the impeccably dressed guestrooms shine, leaving behind a special welcome gift for every visitor. Nightly turndown service with a weather card and chocolate and overnight shoe shine are complimentary to every guest, and services such as dry cleaning and 24 hour room service and are available upon request.
